This programme prepares the individual to give general nursing care in the hospital and the community. It is a six-semester (three year) programme.

As a Midwife, i'm immersed in Oxytocin day and night.The midwife considers the miracle of childbirth as normal.Birth is about making mothers.

This programme prepares individuals in basic nursing with special option in midwifery. It is a six-semester (three year) programme which admits individuals from the Senior High Schools (SHSs).

Admission Requirements

Prospective applicants must be between ages 18 - 35. Koforidua NMTC accepts both WASSCE and SSSCE results.

The School has adopted a policy to let students use the first year to acquaint themselves with some nursing procedures and materials in the School’s well-equipped demonstration room and start their clinical practicals from the 2nd year at several Hospitals.
